About Us

Jay Loveson is a British ABDL and psychotherapist. They launched this project to help rewrite the narrative around ABDL in psychiatry. They firmly believe that from a pathology, ABDL can be a source of healing & health. Jay is 31, non-binary, asexual and non-monogamous. They have BPD, ADHD and are a survivor of Childhood Sexual Abuse. They are a humanistic counsellor, working in a person-centred way, not seeking to cure or change clients but instead offering them a relationship they can use for their own personal growth.

ABDLpsychology is a community endeavour. Jay has blogged on the topic of ageplay and mental health for over a decade, but theirs is just one story. Through this blog and channel we will elevate multiple voices from within our community, giving you the platform to share your stories. We believe your experience makes you an expert. Your special interest interests us. This is your space to share how ABDL, mental health and/or neurodivergence intersect for YOU. This is somewhere to learn from one another and come to find that we are far from alone in how we find ourselves within the worId.

All of our articles are received via email. When we publish an article with a social media link to the author, we do our best to make a brief assessment of their media to ensure it doesn't promote hate or harm. We are passionately anti-oppressive. Jay does not endorse any of our contributors by publishing their insights. Jay runs this project alone and the thoughts of our contributors do not necessarily reflect the beliefs of themself.

We believe coming to understand each other through open communication is key to community cohesion. All of this said, if it comes to your awareness that one of our contributors is using their platform for hate or harm, please get in touch, and we will assess the situation and most likely remove their post so as to avoid amplifying their voice while they are using it destructively elsewhere.
